We operate 2 fully
equipped ALS ambulances. A 1999 Ford F-350 MedTech (Unit 1641) purchased
from Pfund Superior Sales.
A new 450 Chassis Med Tech Ambulance (Unit 1642), also purchased from Pfund
Superior Sales, was purchased and received in September 2003.

The company is holding several fund-raisers to help with the payments.
How much does a new ambulance cost?
In the ball park of $100,000. That's just the ambulance
chassis and body, NO equipment. The most expensive piece of equipment
other than the ambulance itself are the heart monitors. They can run
from $7000- above $18,000. Remember, there is one in each ambulance.
How do you afford to purchase your equipment and pay your
employees?
We do third party billing to your insurance company in
the event that we should need to transport you. We also hold a yearly
membership drive to raise funds to bring income into the company. Most
insurance companies only pay a fraction of your medical bill. If you
are a member, the remainder of your bill is waived. If you are not a
member, you are responsible for paying the remainder of your bill. We
also receive donations from generous individuals and companies.
There are no grant monies available to help communities purchase ambulances, so the company relies heavily on donations.
